Google's Pixel 6 Series and Beyond: Get Ready for Lightning-Fast 5G on Select Carriers in India!

Google in a recent announcement confirmed the rolling out of 5G functionality in India on Pixel phones for Pixel 6 series onwards, only on few carriers. Google's flagship phone lineup has always been a popular choice in India, and now users can take advantage of lightning-fast 5G speeds for even faster streaming, downloads, and browsing. The Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro are the first phones from Google to support 5G in India, with promises of smoother connections and better network performance. 

5G service is not yet universally available across all carriers, and their coverage areas may be smaller compared to other services. It is important to note that in areas where 5G service is not accessible, Pixel phones equipped with 5G technology will revert to using 4G and lower networks instead.

Similar to other mobile services, obtaining a 5G data plan and 5G SIM card is necessary after verifying that both the phone and carrier support 5G technology. Currently the Airtel and Jio are two carriers for 5G rollout in India.
