Accenture to Acquire Objectivity: Expanding Platform Engineering Capabilities in Europe

Accenture, a leading global professional services company, has announced its plan to acquire Objectivity, a digital engineering firm that specializes in cloud and platform development services. The acquisition will help Accenture expand its platform engineering capabilities in Europe and accelerate its clients' digital transformation journey.

Accenture to Acquire Objectivity

Objectivity is a UK-based company with operations in Poland, Germany and Mauritius. It has more than 30 years of experience in delivering fit-for-purpose digital solutions for various industries, such as financial services, manufacturing, retail and public sector. Objectivity's expertise in platform engineering, cloud native computing and application modernization will complement Accenture's Cloud First offerings, which aim to help clients harness the power of cloud and platforms to innovate faster and more efficiently.

According to Karthik Narain, global lead for Accenture Cloud First, "A new wave of platform engineering is creating opportunities for companies to accelerate reinvention and value creation. With a strong digital core powered by cloud, organizations can continuously adapt to industry dynamics, using platforms to reimagine value chains and embrace new business models. Objectivity's strong engineering culture and delivery experience will help our clients pivot and launch new products quickly and efficiently."

Jean-Marc Ollagnier, CEO of Accenture for Europe, added, "The world is undergoing massive changes, which requires organizations to continuously reinvent themselves to drive value. The breadth and depth of Objectivity's engineering assets and talent will bolster our European platform engineering capabilities, providing our clients with the agility they need to redefine their businesses and industries."

Rob Helle, founder of Objectivity, said, "For more than 30 years, Objectivity has provided innovative thinking to create the most fit-for-purpose digital solutions. Our values-driven culture allowed us to successfully become an international, virtual organisation, where clients and employees have been continuously growing together. Joining the Accenture team will enable us to achieve more because we will be stronger together with Accenture."

The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. In the month of March, Accenture acquired an Industrial AI company called Flutura.

Accenture is a leader in software product and platform engineering services, as recognized by market research firm Everest Group in 2023. The acquisition of Objectivity follows other recent global investments by Accenture to enhance its platform engineering services, such as HeadSpring, Fairway Technologies, Imaginea and others.
